During tunnel construction in the UK, two independent forms of communication need to be provided for construction workers underground. Additionally, IP video cameras for locomotive crossings, environmental monitoring systems including SCADA, personnel and locomotive tracking, and Wi-Fi client access within the tunnel are also some of the systems that MTI Tech Ltd supply and support on-site.
Voice communication within the construction shafts and tunnels can involve leaky feeder cable with or without amplifiers, our TunnelMESH system, fixed IP telephones, and Wi-Fi handsets for push to talk calling.
